Facilitated by trained edTPA scorers from the ECU Office of Assessment, Data Management, and Digital Learning, this course provides an in-depth overview of edTPA’s purpose, structure, requirements, and scoring criteria.
Task-specific activities will help you develop a personalized edTPA action plan. Targeted instructional materials will help you understand your edTPA Handbook and requirements, and guided reflection will help you analyze your teaching practices. The course is designed to prepare you as you plan, create and compile your edTPA artifacts, reflect on your practice and successfully submit your edTPA portfolio.
edTPA Retake Preparation
Whether you are a Resident or recent graduate teaching in the field, if you need to submit an edTPA retake, this self-paced online course is for you!? The activities and content in this five-week course are designed to help you reflect on your previous edTPA performance, identify areas for improvement, and plan your retake submission.??
Retaking one task or all three? The edTPA Retake Preparation course offers task-specific modules and activities to help you reinforce essential skills and craft new materials that meet edTPA requirements. The flexible design of this course allows you to complete activities most relevant to your retake needs while also receiving feedback, guidance, and logistical support from ECU’s edTPA Coordinator and experienced personnel.
This course is facilitated by licensed National Board certified teachers and trained edTPA scorers within the East Carolina University College of Education and the Office of Assessment, Data Management, and Digital Learning.
