Course Description

This online, asynchronous, modular course is designed to be completed in 8 weeks. Each week students will view a mini-lecture, read pertinent professional materials, engage in a related activity, and then take a quiz. Students will learn literacy related content including: the development of reading skills, methods used to support literacy learning in a variety of classroom settings, materials used in teaching literacy, strategies for understanding and instruction, and assessments to inform literacy instruction.
