Course Description

Excelling at Organization, Operations, and Strategy can position a community to achieve its best future. This module establishes practices for effective operations and management of economic development organizations. The three primary organizational structures of an economic development program will be identified, explained, and discussed along with key tenets of economic development. The module will focus on the importance of establishing effective and efficient operations; creating a strategy with measurable deliverables; establishing a work program; board management; ethics; and other key techniques.
