Course Description

Guided tours of the ECU Outer Banks Campus, home to the Coastal Studies Institute, are offered on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM. Visitors will be guided through the main Research Education & Administration building to learn about our academic programs, education and outreach initiatives, campus, and diverse research laboratories and their current projects. Our family-friendly public tours are thoughtfully designed to engage visitors from a range of ages, from school-aged children (ages 8 and up) to inquisitive adults and lifelong learners. In addition, interactive elements have been incorporated throughout the tour to make your experience even more enriching. 

Upon arrival to the ECU Outer Banks Campus, your tour guide will greet you in the first-floor lobby. Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow the tour to start on time. Elevators are available to transport participants between floors if needed. Tours are $5 and pre-registration is required. Capacity for each tour is 15 people, and spots will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cancellation Policy
