Course Description

The purpose of this micro-credential is to provide school personnel with background information on trauma, its many forms, and how it affects students’ behavior and learning. School personnel will learn how to assess student behavior through a trauma-informed lens, how to transform schools into trauma- responsive environments, and how to gain support for dealing with trauma. School personnel will also learn specific trauma-informed interaction strategies that can help students feel safe, build trust, and promote positive and supportive relationships.
